Pineapple Express

This incredibly funny story written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, directed by David Gordon Green, starring Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Danny McBride, is reminiscient of the English movie, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. A stoner witnesses a drug murder by the police and senior drug dealer only to have them chasing him and his junior drug dealers as an hilarious cast of asian competitors ninja after them. It's gut wrenchingly funny as Cheech and Chong meet Miami Vice. One might be triggered by the acreage of pot with all the paraphernalia but the message is essentially a good one. Red, played by Danny McBride makes the duracell bunny look like he's a slouch as he keeps on ticking with seven bullets and Monty Python flare. The sound track which includes Huey Lewis is great. All round a ridiculous anti hero action movie well worth watching straight.
